HOME-BAKING A PLEASURE NOW Messrs Hkown and Polsox, the celebrated Paisley firm of Corn Flour fame, have brought out a new preparation of their Corn Flour for home baking, which they have named " Paisley Flour." It is to be mixed one part with six to eight of ordinary Hour, for raising and improving scones, cakes, pastry and household bread, and when used no yeast, baking soda, or other raising agent is required. The peculiar advantages of "Paisley Flour" are that the work of baking is made quite simple, and the process of raising is so assisted that success is assured Bread is improved in flavour, and made easy of digestion even when new. Messrs McNicol aud Co. will hold their next sale at Te Mata Yards on Wednesday, 15th December, for which ent'ies are solicited. Ou Wednesday, 24th November, at 2 p.m. sharp. Messrs McXieol and Co. will hold a sale of furniture on account of Mrs Holtby at Morrinsville. A parly of 22 young men, chiefly from Minnesota, has sailed for Venezuela to establish themselves upon a big land grant 100 miles long aud .">() wide. It is covered with valuable timber and is said to contain gold mines.
