TE AWAMUTU TOWN BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the To Awamulu Town Board was held in the Board's Oilice on Thursday evening last. The Commissioners present were : J. L. Mandeno (chairman), Geo. Ahier, F. R. Gibson and J. B. Teasdale. Town PuMr.— In connection with the account for repairs to the town pump, Commissioner Lynch wrote from Auckland stating that he had interviewed Mr Swales and obtained a detailed account of material, etc.. supplied, which he enclosed.

Legal Proceedings.—A letter of demand was received from Mr J. Parr, solicitor, of Auckland, demanding payment of an account said to be owing to Mr Matthews and that proceedings would be taken for its'recovery within a week.—The Clerk was instructed to reply to the effect that the Board was not indebted to the individual named. Resignation.— Commissioner Lynch, having left the district, wtote forwarding his resignation, which was accepted.
