THE CHRISTCHURCH SHOW.

(i;y telegraph—own correspondent). Christchurcii, Last Night. For the first time for many yenrs the " People's Day " at the Agricultural and Pastoral Show turned out wet. Rain set in last night and continued steadily till 10 o'clock this morning. When it ceased there was sunshine at intervals for about an hour, then the sky became overcast and at the time of telegraphing there was every appearance of more showers. The rain will have a material effect on attendance, which it was expected under favourable circumstances would top any previous record.
