(B\ TELEQKAriI.—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Haweka, Last Night. Wagst.vkf Bkos.' store, Fihiama, was completely destroyed by ii e yesterday. Nothing was saved. H. Wagstaff had a narrow escape in getting out, and was almost suffocated by the smoke. Wellington, Last Nipht.
A five-roomed cottage in Hawkestone Crescent was burned at "2 a.m. It was occupied by Mrs Smooke, a dressmaker, her servant and au infant child, who had a narrow escape. The house and furniture were insured in the riaenix Company for £340.
