AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
(BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Auckland, Last Night. The principal business to-day on the Stock Exchange was in shares in the Upper Thames Companies. Talismans were again sold at 18s 3d. Talisman Extendeds firmed a little, being sold at Is id, and were still wanted at la 3d. IVailu Consols changed bauds at 7d and 7Ad. Wailu Extendeds firmed up to Is 4~\, at which price sales were made. Buyers also came in again to day for Wailii shares, £7 4s being offered, but holders ask fS. Business was also done in Waihi Souths at 6d ; Rising Suns at SJd to 9d, while Is was freely offered for Imperials and 5s 3d for shares in the Ohinemuri Syndicate, Coromaudel stock showed no alteration in value, but in Kuaotunu shares buyers of Waitaias advanced offers to Is 9d. The best all round demaud is still, however, for shares in the Lower Thames Companies, but at prices which today holders were not disposed to accept. In standard stocks Insurance shares had a steady demand. New Zealand shares were dealt in at 72s 6d.
