FOOTBALL.

Ox Saturday afternoon last a match was played on Sydney Square between the Hamilton East mid West Colts, the West side being the victors by 3 points to nil, a try obtained by W. Rogers. Next Saturday the Huntly and Te Awamntu Clubs will try conclusions on Sydney Square, and Whatawhata will meet ISgaruawahia at the latter place. On Tuesday last—Jubilee Day—a football match was played at Rotorua between the Mamaku and Rotorua Clubs. The game was well-contested throughout, and resulted in a victory for Rotorua by 6 points to nil. After the match both teams sat down to an excellent spread, and a jolly good time was spent by all present. Mr E. Williamson, of Hamilton, gave every satisfaction as referee.

We understand that the Eotorua and MRmakn Clubs will shortly pay Waikato a visit. The former will play several clubs and also a Waikato team, while the latter will have a friendly game with Hamilton.
