PRESENTATION TO MR JAMES HUME.
On Monday last Mi' Brooks, of the (Jiutbridgc branch of the Dank of NewZciland, made a presentation to Mr James Hume an behalf of the officials of the Bink of a very handsome album, containing portraits of all who had been immediately associated with him dining bis thirty-five years' service in the Waikato. The idea originated some twelve months back, when it was expected that Mi' Hume was about to retire fiom the Bank service, since which time the donors have been waiting developments, and at lust concluded that it would be better to make ths presentation, which took place in the bank parlour, Hamilton, in the prcsuice of all the local ofliceis. Mr Brooks, in making the presentation, in a few well ehesen words expressed on his own behalf and that of the donors their h'gh appreciation, of Mr Hume in both his public and private capacities. The following illuminated address was also read and handed to Mr Hume:— Presented to dames Hume, Esq., as a token of affectionate regard by brother officers in the Bank of New Zealand, who have been from time to time associated with him during his thirty five years of service.
