PATERANGI.
Social. —The members of the Patcrangi Band gave themselves and friends a musical evening on Friday last, '23rd inst, which was well attended, notwithstanding several attractions elsewhere. The school building, in which the affair was held, was comfortably tilled, and a pleasant evening was spent by all present.
MI'TUAL T.MI'KOVK.MKNT CLASS. annual meeting of the members of this class was held in the hall on Monday, 2(i'h hist, Mr R. Kay in the chair. The Secretary read a report of the work done during the year, which appeared highly Hitis'actory, and was adopted. Mr Win. Maiiky was elected Piesidcnt ; Messrs Robert Kay and F. (.'. Oermann, vicePresidents ; Mr C. S. Macky, Secretary and Treasurer; committee—Messrs .las. Rybuvn, senr., Jas. Pyburn, junr., T. Alcoek, Legcrtwood, .John Kay, and the officers. The committee will meet on the 20th inst. to draw up a programme, and the first n ccting of the society is to be held on the Oth May in the hall at 7'M p.m. (Own Correspondent).
