Die Blowitz. the Paris correspondent of the Times, says that Prince Hohenloho, the German Chancellor, is trying to arrange for Germany, Franco and Russia to morally support the Boers in the event of British action against the Transvaal. If these Powers are unable to restrain Britain in South Africa, an effort is t® be made to embarrass her in Egypt. The War Oflice requires 10,000 horses for remounts. Ffteen officers have been sent to the Argentine to purchase them. Further large consignments of military stores and ammunition are being sent to Capetown. Eight hundred troops sailed for the Cape on Saturday, and three batteries of field artillery arc under orders to embark. Pretoria, April 26. The trial of Lieutenant Eloff for using insulting language respecting Queen Victoria has concluded, and resulted in the acquittal of the prisoner.
