It was resolved that in future no player should be chostn to play in any match until he has paid his subscription, so intending players should brar this in mind. On Saturday next another practice match will be held, and players arc requested to roll up for a run in view of an early season. It is pleasing to know that Huntly will be represented in football this year by a strong contingent, and the fact that the old maroon colours will be seen in the thick of the light will lend an additional charm to the Waikato matches. A gord practice match was playul on Saturday last, when a larce number of men were present. The first football match of the season b.itween the To Aroha and Paeroa liist fifteens took place at Paeroa on Saturday afternoon, and resulted, after a keen contest, in a victory for the home team by 6 points to '.).
