To-day a brisk demand for investing stocks continues. New Z'aland Insurance shares have advanced 'is, and sale', were mule at 7-s. In mining stocks the principal lie nam! was for shares in the Thames companies, there being buyers for Victorias, Koya's, I'ortiis, May Queens, K'uunuis, and Caledonian.-', but generally at low rates ; consequently no sales resulted. In Upper Thaws stocks sales took phce in Stanleys at lO'l and JOAd, with buyers left at the latter figure ; Talismans were also wanted at los. In Co omnndel and Kuaotunn sticks no transactions weic received ; but buyers offered a shade better rates for both Hauraki Norths and Bunkoi'x II lis.
