CABLE INTERRUPTION.

MELBOURNE, March 27. THERE is a disposition in some quarters to connect the cable interruption with the Cretan troubles, but the cable authorities consider that there is not the slightest ground for the supposition. They explain that the two cables which have given way aro at a considerable distance south of the seat of the disturbance, and European warships are patrolling the neighbouring seas to prevent acts of aggression. The two lines between Malta and Alexandria have never previously been interrupted simultaneously, and it is surmised that the present break is the result of some local submarine disturbance. Tho delay in connection with tho messages is the outcome of overworking the remaining lines.
