PATERANGI.
Band of Hope.—A well attended meeting of the Paterangi Band of Hope was held in the Hall on Saturday, 13th inst. The President, Mr R. Kay, in the chair. Although the programme was shorter than usual, the various items were well rendered. Miss Sing, the energetic secretary, took great pains with the children in the dialogues, and the singing by the choir had also btcu well practiced. The following is the programme:— Opening liyinu, Ino. 26; prayer ; reading of Scripture; Chairman's address ; hymn 143 ; piano duet, Mit-ses Edie and Nelly Sing ; recitation, Jack Mnnro ; dialogue, Nelly and Eva Sing, Elsie Mnnro, Winnie McCallum, and F. Cowley ; anthem, choir ; reading, Miss Edie Sing; song, Miss Maeky ; hymn 155 ; recitation, Stanley Cowley ; dialogue, Fred and Charlie Germann, Jim Sing, Jack Mnnro and F. Millar ; anthem, choir; recitation, Graham Millar; hymn No. 8 ; Benediction. Indian Famish Relief I'iind.—A special collection tor the above is to be taken up in the Presbyterian Church here on the 21st inst.—(Own Correspondent). ___«^™_.
