(UY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT). Tai/po, Last Night. The roads, -.vhich were damaged by Kevero thunderstorms on Saturday and .Sunday last, are now passable. Through tourist traffic was not interfered with.
A Native Land Court is proceeding here. The Chief Judge arrived yesterday, and a sitting of the Native Appellate Court commenced to-day. Wanganoi, Last Night. Mr Jackson was last night presented by the councillors with a handsome gold chain and pendant on the completion of four years' term as Mayor. The police have received information from Ohingaiti that a body has been found in the Rangitikei River. It is supposed to be that of a settler whose horse was found several weeks ago.
