THE WAIPA BRIDGE.

Thk Ngaruawahia Town Board has received an advice from the Government intimating that Mr Hursthouse has been instructed to proceed immediately with the election of the bridge across the VVaipa at Ngaruawahia. The news lias been received with acclamation in Ngaruawahia, and will delight all settlers with a stake in this part of the district.

The. opening of a coach route to Raglan would prove of inestimable benefit to the settlers of Waimai, Raglan, Waingaro and Waipa, and will enhance the value of property in those districts considerably. The more thinking portion of the business people are looking forward to the day when a regular coach service c Drying Auckland mails will be instituted between heic and Raglan. There can be no question but that a regular coach mat! service would be much better for the inhabitants of Raglan than the present steamboat arrangement which is run, " weather and other circumstances permitting." It is hoped that the Post ami Telegraph Department will consider this matter when the bridge is erected.

The NgaruawoJua Town Board deserve credit for the indefatigable manner in which they have worked for the decision of the. Government, which is now announced. (Ngarua.vahia Correspondent).
