CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
(BY TELEGEAPn—OWK CORRESPONDENT.) CußisTcnußCii, Last Night. At the meeting of the Congregational Union to-day, Rev. C. H. Bradbury, of Duucdin, was elected chairman for the ensuing year. It was resolved to recommend the Churches' Union to observe the last Sunday in November as a temperance Sunday, also " That in view of the demoralisation and woe arising from the traffic in intoxicating drinks, the Council considers not only should professing Christians not engage therein but Churches should avoid appointing to Church offices persons so engaged, and the Union is happy to believe that no such appointments exist in this Church."
