Washington, . January 27. A SECTION of the members of the Senate are blocking the ratification of the Anglo-America n arbitration treaty. Many amendments have been proposed. Senator Lang is seeking to introduce the Monroe doctrine and the Americau Board of Trade wages ratification treaty. Senator Morgan has altered his Bill •with regard to the Nicaragua canal in accordance with the suggestion by Mr Olney, and it is expected that Nicaragua will accept the amended Bill. A large meeting ©f the leading citizens of Washington passed a resolution hailing the Anglo-American treaty with joy and patriotic pride. The House of Eepiresentatives has adopted the report of the committee in favour of tho Immigrants Eestriction Bill.
