FROZEN MEAT TRADE.

Sydney, December 17. Three representatives of the Vienna Butchers' Association have been visiting Sydney to make arrangements for regular shipments of meat to Austria. Australian frozen meat is already largely consumed in Austria, and some time ago an enterprising timber merchant entered into contracts with the principal wholesale butchering establishments to supply them with Australian meat. The supplies proving insufficient to meet the demands, the contractor raised the prices, which the butchers resented, and combined to send delegates to Australia to arrange for constant supplies at a uniform price. The delegates express themselves highly pleased at the result of their enquiries, and are confident a large trade will be opened up. They have completed arrangements for the shipment for extensive consignments within the next few weeks, and it is their intention to visit Queensland and make similar arrangements there.
