The Beswich Mining Company to-day paid Mr 11. if. .Shepherd the sum of CIOOO as a deposit for the option of pi-anting the Goldea Mount property at Whang.) mata. This mine is hold by a private syndicate represented hy Mr H. M. Shepheid. Tim area i« 141 acres, and the mine adjoins tile Golden Falls, Moa, Sybil, and Flcmington Mines, and is also in the neighbourhood of the Luck at Last.
