The programme in connection with the New Zealand Rifle Association'.': 3(ith annual meeting, to be held at the Taka puna Racecourse (North Shore) on Menday, February loth, and following days lias been issued. The events are as under :—Nelson Mutch, £7O ; Hawke's Bay Match, £7O ; Marlborough-Kynoch Match, £63 ; Wancanui Match, £65 ; Auckland Match, £l2O ; Ladies' Match, £65 ; Christohureh Match. £OS ; Wellingt' n Match, £7O ; Otago Match, £OS : Grand Aggregate Match, £SO ; Last Try, £OS ; Champion Match,' £l5O ; Nursery Match, £SO ; Bronze Medal Match, £2O ; Intercolonial Match, L'so ; Companies' Team Match, £l5O ; Champion Teams' Match, £3O : District Representatives' Match ; Exhibition Challenge Shield, Hobson's Cup, and £'2o to the winning teams ; Volley Firing Match, £35 ; Parliamentary Match, £lO ; Press Match, £lO ; Revolver Pool, Continuous Match, ami a match open to Ladies Only, at 200yds. range Entries to he made by telegram or otherwise, addressed to the secretary, New Zealand Rifle A«soc : ation, Auckland, on or licfore Saturday, the (itli February next ; or, with the local secretaries in the different towns, up to the fame date Tost entries can I'e made up to Saturday, the J3th February 1897, on payment of an additional 2s lid per match. Printed forms of entry can be obtained from the local secretaries of the Association in all the principal New Zealand towns, members of the Council, the adjutant of each volunteer district ; the secretaries of the Rifle Associations of Victoria, Ne.v South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and Queensland. Competitors are requested to fill in their address on the entry form, in order that circulars, etc.. may reach them at any time without delay. All communications, previous to 31st January, must be addressed to Major Somrnerville, chairman New Zealand Rifle Association, Wanganui, and after that date to Auckland The movement is receiving the hearty support of local merchants and tradespeople, and already several valuable trophies have been promised.
