AMERICAN TARIFF.
New YORK, November 10. The New York Chamber of Commerce gave a banquet to congratulate McKinley on his election. The Democratic allies of the gold party expressed their readiness to make a sacriticc, but expect the Republicans to make concessions in return. They ask that the tariff should be considered with reference to ievenue as well as protection. London-, November 10.
The New York correspondent of the Times says the influence of the business community is in favour of moderation and compromise.
