MAGISTRATE'S COURT, RAGLAN
Monday.—Before Capt. Jackson, S.M. Maintk.nanckCask.— Maria Barlow sued her husband William for maintenance. Mr Dyer appeared for plaintiff and Mr J. 11. Phillips interpreted.—The defendant had offered to pay 7s (id per week.-The plaint id deposed that her husband had forsaken her and was living with another woman at Kawhia. The marriage took place at Raglan in 1881. She had no means of support and was not in good health so could not work for her living. —Ordered to pay 8s per week and £1 1 (is costs. Don Rkoistkatiox. —A native named Te Htiia was charged with owning an unregistered dog. Mr Dyer appeared for him. —David Galvan deposed to knowing the defendant and that he owned a dog for a long time. Mr Dyer admitted that defendant owned the dog tint stated that he did not reside in Raglan Comity and that the dog had ever been brought within the County. The ease was dismissed with costs, £ I His. Civil. Cash.—Koroopa sue! Middlemis for i'l for service of hoise. After blaring a good deal of contradictory evidence as to the ownership of the. mare served and on other point* the lleneh gave judgment for defendant, each party to pay their own costs. Plaintiff to pay Court and Magistrate's fees.
