WAIKATO FRUITGROWERS' ASSOCIATION.
A .MKKTiNij of the above Association was held in Mr Delancy's Hotel, Ohaupo, on Tuesday. Present : Mr W. Johns (President) in the chair, Messrs Potts. Germain), Kdgecumbc, Karl, Ticrney, Sharp, Oliyc, and several other;. The business of the meeting was to make arrangements to meet and entertain the delegates who arc to attend the Fruitgrowers'Conference on the 17th of next month. The President faid he expected ten to arrive, and four of them would come from Whangarci. lie had drawn out a small programme which he would submit to the meeting for their approval. Mr Sharp said he would Ike, if possible, to have arrangements made for the delegates to visit Cambridge and hold a conference there. Mr Edgeeumbc said it was just a matter of £ s. d Mr Shaip said the Cambridge Branch would hold a meeting, and he (Mr Sharp) would let the President know the result in time to take action. The following is the programme as sketched out by Mr .Johns :—Monday, November Kith, 3 p.m., delegates arrive at Ohaupo, met by executive of Flintgrowers' Association, diiven to Messrs Kails, sec orchard, etc., .~>.30 p.m tea at Messrs K.ills', session in Council Chambers at 7.30 p.m., and at 9.30 p.m. delegates diiven u quarters as follows : Two at Messrs Karls, two at Mr Edwards', two at Mr Potts, two at Mr Ohye's, and two at either Mr Hunter's or Mr (!erinann's. Tuesday, 0.30 a. in , second session of conference in Council Chambers, 12.30 lunch at hotel, 1.30 p.m. drive to Messrs Potts and Ohye's orchards and then on to Mr Germann's ; 5.30 p.m. tea at Mr Germann's and session at 7.30 p.m. in the Paterangi Hall ; !).3() p.m. drive back to quarters as preceding night. Wednesday, !) a.m., drive to Mr' Johns', see orchard, P 2.30 p.m lunch at Mr John's, 1.30 p.m. drive through To Awamiitu to Kihikihi and Orakau, see bittloiitld, 0 p.m. tea at Lewis' Hotel, 7.30 p.m. last session of conference in Public Library, !).30 p.m. led and breakfast at Lewis'. Thursday, 8.35 a.m. train from To Awatnutu to Auckland. After some discussion, Mr Edgceumbe moved the fol'o.villg resolution, which was carried : " That the programme be adhered to up to noon of the IStli, provided, however, that the Cambridge pec pie make arrangements for conveying the delegates to Cambridge, theu the trip to Kihikihi.and Orakau be abandoned." Mr Sharp said several of the Cambridge frnitgiowcrs would subscribe. It was decided to giant I.h from the funds of the Association to the Cambridge Branch towards the expenses. A meeting of the executive is to be held to cany out the details, to meet at. Ml Potts on Wednesday, 11th, at 7.30 p.m. This concluded the business. Mr Sharp brought over some very beautiful specimens of azaleas, roses and rhododendrons, which were greatly admired.
