Alburnia Easts advanced, with sides at la 4d and Is til, and buyers at the first-named figure. Rising Huns continue to hold their own, and have transfers at Oil and Old. There is inquiry for a number of invcstui nt stocks. Mr .Mueller, Commissioner of Crown Lauds, returned from 'Wellington this morning, wlcre lie has been giving evidence in connection with certain land in Waiknto owned by the Assets Company.
Hon. A. J. Cadman arrived from Welbngton in the Muhinapua this morning. As previously announced he wi'l contest the Ohineititu'i seit Mr Cadimn leaves for the Waikato to-morrow and will probably give his first address at Parawai, afterwards vis'ting the vario.is centres. Mr Cadman has received promises of strong support from all over the district, and hiselcct : on it looked upon as certain.
