Orkameky Mattkus.—Sir Morris, who has control of the superintending department of the New Zealand Dairy Association, has been paying this district a visit, am! intcnils goiuj the round of all the factories and stopping a day at each, his object luting to meet (he suppliers to see if the cream from the different croinici'ics could be centralised at Ngaruawahia the same day as separated, if not il.e whole, at least part of it. In some eases it can be done with a little money, but in others it would be almost impossible to have the cream at the railway station in time for the train. The company intend to leave no stone unturned to make the best quality of butter possible. Mr Morris has mode a very favourable impression on the suppliers w "ho will of course do all they can lo meet his views. He speak-- highly of the pasture in the Waikato. I think that with proper management we ought to lis able to pro luce as good quality butter as any in the wo; Id.
PjkonciaDekby.—Soire comment was made at the sale on Tuesday on the forth' otniiig race between Bruce and Darker, tor the Raglan County Council. Bruce was backed to win in a outer. Barker was said to be out of condition and would probably be scratched (but as the saying is) one never can tell till the numbers are up.
