(by telegraph. OWN correspondent) . Auckland, Last Night. Business was active in the Exchange today, with a brisk demand. Hauraki Norths, Centrals, Portseas and Grace Darlings all sold at higher rates. Broken Hill'shares advanced from Is 5d to Is 7d. Comstocks sold freely at Is to Is- Id. Hazelbanks firmed in price with sales at os 4d, Centrals sold in large lines at 2s 3d and 2s 4d, with still buyers at the latter price. Grace Darlings were in great demand, selling from 3s 5d to 35.7, d. Portseas reaeKea - t2s'»a'.'‘~P T i-eo sales' were also made in Talisman Extendeds at Bs. Bunker Hills advanced to 9s and 9s 6d. Hauraki Norths were in .strong- demand, the paid up issue npt to be got under 7s, while 5s 9d was freely offered for contributory shares, but holders asked 6s 6d. Welcome Finds, New-Castle Rooks, and Golcondas all firmed a little in price. There was also a good demand for Kuaotunu shares at late values.
