Sledge has changed, but which one?

Oh no! Sorry Sledge of Ohakune! Last week's Mailbag letter, "Very brave man", was from Sledge of Waiouru, not Ohakune' s muchloved "Nice Guy Sledge", the policeman. "Nice Guy Sledge" has a wife and a daughter, who he says he loves very much, and that he would never write a letter such as Waiouru Sledge's. He says young children have been approaching him asking doesn't he like women any more? So sorry Nice Guy Sledge for tarnishing your image. We better say sorry if we've implied that Waiouru Sledge isn't a nice guy, at least when he or she is not writing letters to the paper!

Rumour has it our Sledge has hung up his rugby boots in exchange for a pink apron and pavlova baking. (I wonder if he eats quiche). So all you fat ladies when you're finished your breast stroking, and swimming, dine on one of Sledge's pavs and feast your eyes on the free entertainment that will be provided by the All Male Army Review, bearing all and hanging out. So ladies, throw away those polishing rags, get rid of the car and sabotage the lawnmower and come and see the show. The fat will be on the other bods.

I.L.B

. Peeping.

Congratulalions Sledge! Once again you prove just what a moron you really are. Your petty little tirades of bigotry against women are presumably intended to be witty and shocking. Sorry Sledge, we've heard it all before, how about puerile and boring. Fortunately there are some real men out there without your disabilities. You know, men who are honest and don't feel they have to hide behind banal little pseudonyms. So Sledge, next time you fccl the urge to compose some asinine drivcl, please place it where it belongs, - down the toilet. Incidentally, this is not a cry for equality. Who wants to be equal to a worm like you? J. Gordon.
