Desert Fair stalls

BY

BALSOM

A lot of enjoyment is got from coming to the Desert Fair. However not a lot of thought is given to the effort and time the organisers and their helpers have had to give to ensure the success behind your enjoyment. Simply put - their dedication has given you the Desert Fair. The committee is well into the finalising of details for the entertainment and administration involved, however it is now time to ask the community for a helping hand. We therefore offer members of the public that would like a chance to sell or show their wares the opportunity to dp so. This offer is open, not only to commercially orientated people - but also to people that would simply like to advertise their club/organisation and what they can offer. In order to make your decision easier here are the details you

will need. There are two types of stalls.

Electricity will be provided if needed. Tables, trestles and forms are available in limited numbers. (First in first served). All sites must be booked before March 3 1989. The site booking form can be obtained from: Secretary of the Desert Fair Orgainsing Committee c/- Sergeant May, 4 Composite Squadron Army Training Group, Private Bag Waiouru. Phone (0658) 56-111 Extcnsion 695 or 696. All money for the site must be returned, with the complete site booking, to the same address. There has been quite a good response so far for stalls, however we are not in any danger of running out of space so we can easily accommodate you.

We are aiming to break the record set

last year. The attendance was over 9000 people and the money raised for thfr community projects was about $24,000. We all like to help out our communities as much as possible when it is for a good cause, so we'll see you there on March II 1989 at the Patterson Field, Waiouru. SEE YOU AT THE DESERT FAIR - LET'S PARTY. More information: Lieutenant Rhonda Balsom Desert Fair Publicity Officer Waiouru Phone: 56III extension 568.
