RESIGNATION ACCEPTED
The Waimarino District Council accepted, with regret, Cr Ellen Gould's resignation at their mecting last week. "Councillor Gould was one of the brighter sparks on our council," said Mayor Workman. "She has given great service to local government in this area," he said. The motion to accept the resignation was put forward by the mayor, and seconded by Cr Peggy Frew. Cr Thompson said Mrs Gould had been a very dedicated councillor who likes to put her heart and soul into the things she does. He said it was pleasing to know that Mrs Gould will be putting all those efforts into the school.
