SCENIC ROUND TRAIN TRIP
Another scenic train excursion on the 'Grand Circle Route' is being organised for February 19 by the Stratford Aero Club. The trip on the 'High Country Flyer' starts at New Plymouth and travels to Stratford, Whangamomona and Ohura to the main trunk line, down through the Raurimu Spiral to National Park and Ohakune and stopping at Waiouru for a visit to the Army Museum, then to Marton, Hawera and back to New Plymouth. Seats are available at $75 per person and bookings can be made to the Stratford Aero Club, P.O.Box 209, Stratford, phone (0663) 5225.
