MAILBAG

Please be advised that the recent letters distributed to defence tenants regarding the tidiness of sections may be attributed to myself. In retrospect, this letter was not as specific as it may have been regarding those areas that did n e e d tidying. The intent of the letter was to initiate an awareness of the need to keep on top of this, the growing period, and get those eyesore jobs completed before leaving on the Christmas break. Initiate an awareness it certainly did and the positive response witnessed over the weekend was most gratifying. To those tenants who thought that the letter was offensive, please accept m y apologies. There was never an intention to follow up

with a further inspection across the camp, but rather to set a standard to which all could aspire. To those tenants who did not receive the dreaded letter, congratulations from the property staff. This unfortunately did not include myself. Perhaps it may be pertinent at this time to remind residents of Turnpage4
