A year of change

1989 promises to be a year of considerable change internationally, nationally and locally.

There will be new alliances, influences and pressures which may mean that we have to adjust the way we do business or conduct our affairs. Part of that process of change could be the shift in local body boundaries resulting in

Waiouru and the Waimarino being in the same district. I hope that this new association will b e born in an atmosphere of co-operation and that it will lead to stronger sporting, social and commercial contacts. I would like to thank

the Waimarino people who have been associated with the Camp during 1988 for their assistance and I look forward to continuing and enhancing our relationship. I trust you will have a safe and enjoyable Christmas and a fruitful and rewarding New Year.
