Scott Maizey learns first hand about water pressure from a fire hose, with the help of Ohakune Volunteer Fireman Bruce Thompson at last week's Ohakune Primary School civil defence day. Officers from Civil Defence, Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade, Red Cross, Police, Ministry of Transport, Waimarino Hospital (ambulance officer and principal nurse) took part in the exercise which saw children actively involved in emergency exercises throughout the morning.
