Situation : An anticyclone is crossing the South Island on Monday and Chatham Islands on Tuesday. A brief southerly change is expected along the South Island east coast on Wednesday then another anticyclone should cross the country. Forecast: Moderate easterlies prodominating. Cloudy periods and isolated afternoon showers chiefly in the east, otherwise dry mild weather.
