Two Waiouru voters potion

Waimarino District Councillors have opted for two v o t i n g Waiouru members on the Ruapehu District Transition Committee. At a special full council meeting on November 7 a motion was put to the council "that Waiouru be allocated two members with voting rights, not co-opted by the Waimarino District Council."

Following this decision the council agreed that the Local Government Commission should determine who appoints the Waiouru members onto the transition committee. The decision applies to the submission the council is to put to the Local Government Commission on the indicative proposal for local au thori ty reorganisation.
