Clock Dropped
The saga of the King Country clock has come to an end, with no-one winning the prize. King Country Power Board members decided last Friday to rescind the motion, p a s s e d some months ago, to accept a clock from Electricorp. After initially accepting the clock the board debated whether to site the clock in Turangi o r Ohakune, both towns having been keen to have the clock. After rescinding the motion the board heard that there was no reason why the two authorities could not approach Electricorp direct on the acquisition of a clock.
