CIVIL DEFENCE DISCUSSED

Waimarino District Council representatives attended a Civil Defence Seminar in Wanganui last Wednesday. The seminar was called to look at the civil defence emergencies in New Zealand in 1988 such as Cyclone Bola, the Greymouth Floods and the floods in Palmerston North. Tomorrow (Wednesday) the Waimarino Civil Defence Committee meets and Tuesday next week a full civil defence exercise for children will be held at Ohakune Primary School.
