EARLY MORNING RUN
It's 6.00am in the morning. The sun is out nice and early streaming through the window, waking me with its warm glare. I got up and put on my running clothes. The soft sounds of steady breathing in the other room tell me that everyone is still asleep. I quietly slip outside and inhale the fresh morning air. I set off down the road. Jogging slowly and steadily. The cows doze quietly in the paddock and the sheep gently nudge their sleeping lambs. I jog to my favourite spot by a river at the end of the road. I sit there for a while. Silently listening to the rush of the river. A cricket chirps. And I snap out of my daydream. 'Time to go home." I stand up and start
heading toward the road.
