Singing rings out at Raetihi

The walls of the Waimarino Club rang to the community singing of the 80 or so senior citizens gathered there on September 21. It was the day the Taumarunui Senior Citizens were the luncheon guests of the Raetihi group, an annual occasion that the visitors always enjoy. Chef Johnnie Nation and the Rotary ladies provided and dispensed the much appreciated three-coursc meal and Mrs Harriet Paranihi was the hard-working pianist for the afternQon's community singing. Competition winners were: Ada Mischewsky,

Raetihi - d'oyley. Eileen Dempsey, Tau-i

marunui - Towel and a decorated chopping

board.

Mrs

Merle
