Plea for Raetihi farmers

A petition calling for the retention of the Raetihi branch of Farmers Trading Company was to be presented to the company yesterday. New Zealand Post

manager Michelle Fredericksen and Raetihi Business Association president Robert Dowman planned to meet Farmers branch controller Ron Firth in Auckland yesterday,

asking that the branch remain open. The petition, which was signed by more than 1000 people, was circulated throughout the Waimarino and to Waiouru and Taihape.
