ENGINEER'S FEES WORRY
Concern was expressed at the last council* works meeting at the $18,786 expenditure onj consulting and engneering reports. District Engineer Don Sattler pointed out inj his report that $5559 was for work done for the! Ohakune Borough Council in the previous year) and $9454 was for work requested "by Ohakune". , He also stated that the fees were not applicable to set projects. Cr Doug Bennett asked why the fees weren't paid before amalgamation, and why they couldn't be paid by the respective ward. The district manager said the account for the fees wasn't received until after the amalgamation.
