POLICE SEARCH FOR DRUGS, ARREST SIX

Police from Ohakune, Waiouru and Taihape combined with Waiouru Military Police executed search warrants on the misuse of drugs act in the region last week. Police visited four addresscs in Waiouru and three in Ohakune and arrested six people on drug related offences. They also seized a number of cannabis plants Two Waiouru people arrested on similar charges will be appearing in court later this month. Army personnel were questioning a number of people about drug offences after the searchcs, in a separate part of the opcration.
