Horsemaster quiz
The Raetihi Pony Club team returned from Mananui last Saturday winners of the King Country Area Horsemastership Quiz. The team, Cindy Langdon, Katrina Wilson (Captain), Rachel James, Sally Williams and Vicki Pearson, received a beautifully mounted plate from the donor, Mr Weir, of Owhango, along with red rosettes.
It was clear they were all well prepared for the test as they won by a wide margin over teams representing Taumarunui, Ongarue, Kaitieki and Ohakune. A riding course is to be held during the second week of the holidays by National Instructor, Kay Hogan, at Raetihi. Enquiries should be made to Marie Allerby, Raetihi Club Secretary.
