WINE TASTING OPINIONS

The Waimarino Wine Club is hosting a Cooks » Corban wine tasting evening next week. i The club, whose motto is "my opinion is right" is holding a series of wine tasting afternoons leading up to the event and in the weeks following. Thirteen people attended the last tasting, f which according to club president Di Pritt, was an excellent turnout. September 4 the club has a tasting of a newly released "Bakano" red wine - one of the first internationally recognised wines from out of New I Zealand. A representative from McWilliams wines in Palmerston North will be on hand at Waimarino Wines to organise the tasting of a wine that is unique in the respect that it is made up of both New Zealand and Australian grapes.
