WOMAN SURVIVES FALL ON NGAURUHOE

After her 300 metre fall down the south side of Mt Ngauruhoe last Monday, a 21-year-old English tourist is recovering in Waikato hospital. She spent Monday night missing on the mountain after her fall and was found early Tuesday morning, with head abrasions, hypothermia and a compound fracture of one leg. The accident happened at about 4.30pm on Monday night. The woman was well equipped for the climb.
