Horse quiz
A good turnout of local Pony Club riders and supporters made the annual quiz on Horsemastership held on Saturday, August 6 most successful. Twenty riders competed in teams of four, answering questions covering a wide range of riding activities,
rules, equipment, ailments and feeding. Quizmaster Peter Richards posed the questions and the panel of judges; Ann Roke, Roie McGill and Evelyn Cooper awarded points. Afternoon tea followed and results were: First Tanya Taylor (Cpt), Katrina Wilson, Lisa Hagley, Cameron Morris; second equal Cindy Langdon (Cpt), Natasha Richards, Rachel Duigan, Vanessa Enright; second equal Rodney McCoubrie (Cpt), Trudi Allerby, Emma Cornwall, Vicky Pearson; fourth Maria Fredricksen (Cpt), Fiona Evans, Sally Williams, Kerri Allerby; fifth Sharon Wagstaff (Cpt), Donovan Morris, Rachel James, Marni McGregor. Raetihi and Ohakune Pony Clubs will b e represented by teams at the King Country Quiz this Saturday to be held at Mananui.
