Secret 'tops'
One of the best kept musical secrets in the country are to play Hot Lava tonight and' Monday night. The band "Badger" is a compilation of three of New Zealand's finest musicians, all who have an extensive musical background. Alan Badger plays bass and sings. He has performed in Think the Skindivers, Pink Flamingoes, Braziers' Legionaires. Alan is originally from Rotorua where he worked as a tourist guide for three years at Rainbow and Fairy Springs.
Noel Lamberton plays drums and has played for Allister Riddell, Midge Marsden and Flight X7. Noel built the Capture Recording Studios in Gisborne. He is an important cog in the technical side of the band's recording work. Geoff Martin plays guitar. He has been in the Skindivers, Braziers' Corner Boys, Legionaires and Grammar Boys. Geoff is the band's songwriter. The trio play mainly original material, ballads to strong rock. Dancing and a good time are kept in mind, say the press releases.
