MILL DIRECTOR NAMED PORT CHAIRMAN
Winstone Pulp Industries Managing Director Klas Kronkvist was elected the first chairman of the newly formed Wanganui Port Limited, who are set to take over the running of Port Castlecliff. The company are planning to deepen the port to allow larger ships to use the facility. This would allow ships in to carry pulp produced at Karioi to overseas markets.
