KARIOI PULP MILL SOLD
Karioi Pulp Mill has been sold to an as yet unnamed Hong Kong group, The sale has to be approved by the Commerce Commission and the Overseas Investment Commission. When the sale was announced a mill spokesperson said the mill would have to perform better. The mill will now be owned by Winstone Pulp International Ltd. The investment will be the first in New Zealand for the Hong Kong group, who take over on September 9.
