$2500 in prizes

Skiers from Auckland, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Hastings, Wellington, Napier and Helensville have won $2500 worth of prizes in a Ruapehu '88 reader competition. The contest was published in the pre-season edition of this newspaper in May. Entries were received from hundreds of skiers who were given copies of the publication at snow shows in various cities around the North Island and at other local outlets such as ski shops and service stations.
